Abstract

In history,NEA impact on the Earth has occurred frequently, threatening all human beings in the long term.Based on the monitoring and warning data and the impact risk assessment,it is of decisive guidance to develop the principle of response action and the active defense threshold for the different NEA impact risk scenarios. This article introduces the response action criteria and the active defense threshold recommended by SMPAG,and also NASA's latest response benchmark.Comprehensively considering the existing recommendations, the impact probability, impact disaster, active defense feasibility, mission implementation cost and benefit,we recommend new response action criteria and the active defense threshold. It can provide reference for the response to the NEA impact threat.
