It has unique technical advantages to use the ground-based radar system for tracking near Earth asteroid(NEA).And it is also an indispensable technique for asteroid security defense.In this paper,we analyze the independent development and optimized capability of domestic ground-based radar and simulate its performance for NEA monitoring.In collaboration with the deep space TT&C(tracking,telemetry and command)network and radio astronomy network,the joint detection of NEA is very prospective in China.
